I'm sorry, I didn't realize how much my first post here looked like spam - until I saw it. Too late then! I wrote a "letter" and tried to put it out to as many authors I could find - and didn't even get your name right!
Still, it's all true enough, and even personalized to this site - nobody else got anything like it.
Aaron Ross Powell - good luck with your writing!

Wow! My brother sent me this blog. I know our writing interests are different but your article was well written and greatfully receieved. I've never blogged and had a friend develop a web-site instead. It allows me to re-edit and to send out new episodes to those interested. It actually has quite a few features. I'm still going to try and find a publisher but if not maybe if it takes off find a single sponser for the website. I hate all the trash advertising that overwhelms websites. Take care and thanks again for the article.wnet'm glad

Dear author

You have written a novel. You worked hard.
Are you interested in getting some attention for your work?
Let me tell you about Podiobooks.

Run by volunteers, Podiobooks is a free podcasting service, which will allow you to put your work online in podcast form. They'd like to have your novel, if you are interested.

Listeners can register at the Podiobooks site and subscibe to any or all of the 300+ works currently available. A subscriber can decide how to get the content, and how often. All free. (There are donation buttons so that listeners can easily send money. Authors get at least 75%.)

You won't get rich, but you will get noticed. Podiobooks has thousands of listeners.

Podiobooks.com has more information to help you get going. http://www.podiobooks.com/index.php, click on Author at the top of the page.

There's a Podiobooks community at ning, where authors and subscribers meet and mingle. http://podiobooks.ning.com/
There's more, I don't pretend to know it all. I'm just here to invite you to take a look.

Why is it me who is passing along this information? I was at the community and asked for a list of authors to invite to the site. I was given instructions on how to find titles and sent out to look and invite. The only list is the one I am making. So I have started at iTunes, looking for titles not already at Podiobooks.

Go on over, take a look around, see what you think. If you don't think it's for you, then that's OK. My purpose is to make sure you know you are welcome. You've already done the hardest part.

Thanks for your time.
