robert, if I had to place bets, I'd actually come down on the side of the particular twist increasing religious readership -- at least among mainstream Christians. They generally think Mormons are pretty wacky, so a story that compliments that attitude might play well with them. Don't know, though. I guess we'll see when/if the book comes out in print. Thanks for the kind words. I'm glad you dug the story.

I started reading your story out of boredom about four hours ago, and just finished it. It’s not bad – not bad at all. I liked the twist on religion at the end, although that’s going to limit your popularity with the religious folk a bit… Of course, it needs a little proofreading and such, but otherwise it’s pretty good.

Michael, I’m happy to make the book available in alternate formats. The reason I went with Kindle is that Amazon makes it very easy to sell the ebook version. If other formats can do the same, I’ll go with those, too. But I made the choice a while ago to give the book away for free in blog format but, in an effort to make some money off the writing of it, sell all other versions. I’ll do some looking around and see what I can come up with.

I love that you are embracing the future of electronic books but is there anyway you can release it for other electronic readers other than just the Kindle. I, myself, have a Sony PRS-505 which I bought over the Kindle due to price point as well as functionality. The big problem is that when a book is released as a Kindle Edition, those are the only people who can access your book. You are not allowed to purchase a Kindle Edition unless you own a Kindle, even as a present. Is it possible to have the book formatted as an lrf, epub or even pdf document so that it can be viewed by other electronic book users? It is possible as there are numerous conversion software utilities on the net, it is more of a question of whether you choose to do it.
