well as far as i can tell this is shaping up to be a fine novel. im not a publisher or writer so i dont care about typos or misspelled words. i do care about a great story,and this is a great story; keep up the good work

xian b – is he going – pleaser say he’s going. authors doing an awesome job and he’s blogged every chapter so far with petty complaints about typos – its an online book ffs of course it will have typos – thats why its not 12.99

Are you both joking? Take a look at the top left of the page. See the following?

"The Hole is sponsored by the fine folks at Permuted Press, publishers of horror and apocalyptic novels and anthologies."

Which implies that this is the finished product. If this was simply a practice novel I would totally agree with you and never would have offered criticism because I know what first drafts are for. As far as I can tell, this is not intended to be a first draft. If it is, I take back everything I said. If not, then it's a very shoddy finished product.

As to your comment of "anyone who knows anything about publishing," I know that professional authors don't put their unfinished novels online since "first published online" means you just blew your first edition rights, and publishers don't buy second editions. See House Of Leaves for one exception. (The only one, possibly.) Only amateurs put their serious "works-in-progress" online.

I don't regret pointing out errors and trying to help out. I do regret that you two somehow thought I was doing it for your benefit. Sorry you got confused.
