Today I have a bittersweet announcement. After 101 episodes, if you count the three bonus episodes, I'm bringing my ReImagining Liberty podcast to an end.

I've been slipping on staying on top of the release schedule, mostly because my focus has been elsewhere. Primarily, that's been the newly launched Liberalism.org and my podcast over there, The Liberalism.org Show—which covers a lot of the same ground as ReImagining Liberty. It's bi-weekly now, but there's a good chance it switches to weekly in the relatively near future.

But that final episode, episode 101 with Jason Canon on liberal practice, is also a sign of what's next: Jason and I are going to launch a new show, called The Inner Life of Liberalism, that will feature the two of us as co-hosts. The focus will be entirely on this intellectual project we've been building together over the last couple of years on liberalism as a set of practices and perspectives. If you want a sense of what it looks like, you can listen to ReImagining Liberty's final episode, or read this short essay I published on my blog.

The practices that make your life better are the same ones that sustain a free society. It's time liberalism took that seriously.

Jason () and I have a lot to talk about and a lot of ideas to develop, and a lot of people doing cool work on this stuff we want to talk to. (And I just finished writing the manuscript of a short book on it.)

This feels like where I've wanted to take things for a while. To focus in on this project, because I think it's novel, and valuable, and exciting. And to do it with Jason instead of a solo thing.

I don't have a set ETA on the new show, but it shouldn't be too long, and I'll of course tell you where to find it when it's out. (You can also follow me on Bluesky to keep up with everything I'm working on.) (And if you want to get on the mailing list for the new show and accompanying newsletter, you can by dropping your email in the box at LiberalPractice.org.)

Thank you all for supporting ReImagining Liberty over the last four years. You have no idea how much it means to me. I hope you'll stick around for this new thing.
