I've been traveling. A lot. Which explains, or musters an excuse for, the paucity of blogging here lately. In my defense, it's been fun travel, including Oslo, Tallinn, London, and Prague, with a few trips to the rather less exciting Washington, DC in between.
But I do have some cool new stuff, so let me tell you about it.
A conversation with some pretty smart folks
First up, I attended the third annual Liberalism for the 21st Century conference, put on my by friends at the Institute for the Study of Modern Authoritarianism and The UnPopulist. Affectionately called LibCon. While there, I had the honor of hosting a conversation with the New York Times columnists Jamelle Bouie () and David French () and Harvard professor Danielle Allen (). We talked about the MAGA movement and how it's returned racism, misogyny, and Christian nationalism to the center of American political life.

Liberalism and the virtues
Next up, just today Jason S. Canon () and I put out the fourth episode of our new The Inner Life of Liberalism podcast. I've talked about this show before, and it's maybe the most near-and-dear to my heart project I've undertaken to date.
This episode is with Christina Bambrick () about liberalism, virtues, and how to think about constitutions. The focus of The Inner Life of Liberalism is what it means to be a liberal, not just in politics, but in our everyday lives. This episode zooms in on a piece of that.
